The ADAPT Community, the largest, not for profit, national grassroots disability rights organization in the country (www.adapt.org) is excited to announce that Judith Heumann, International Disability Rights Leader will be the National FUNRUNNER for the 2019 FUN RUN for Disability Rights. The FUN RUN will be held Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Washington, DC.
The FUN RUN is not a race. It is a fun, fundraising event where sponsored people run, roll, jog, walk to music around a ¼ mile track.
All funds raised will be used to promote advocacy and education on disability issues like protecting the Americans with Disabilities Act, Disability Integration Act, Empower Care Act, Medicaid Home and Community Based Services, Recruitment and Retention of Community Attendants, Accessible, Affordable, Integrated Housing and Integrated Employment.
